New Heights Properties of Tampa, Inc.

New Heights Properties of Tampa, Inc. was founded in
September of 2004 by Brenda Ayala. In
its early phases, New Heights Properties of Tampa, Inc. offered only rehabbing
services. In 2004, the rehabbing market
in Tampa Bay was at an all time high, and the company was a well respected
force in the Tampa Bay area. We
experienced tremendous growth in a short time, and as result, the need to
provide additional services became more
apparent. In late 2004, New Heights
Properties of Tampa, Inc. started a mentoring program for new investors. One of the commitments made was we would
provide training for new investors free of charge. The reason for this was two-fold. We wanted to properly train people on how to look for properties,
but most importantly how to BUY properties the right way. Secondly, it was our desire to teach people
how to find financing, the proper order in which a rehab should be done, and
how to create a great exit strategy for each and every property. The launch of that program proved to be well
received and well needed. To date, we
have mentored over 500 investors at various levels and the list keeps growing.
As we
listened and learned from our customers, we discovered finding good contractors
for projects was confusing and time consuming.
In 2006, New Heights Properties of Tampa, Inc. added a Certified
Building Contractor to provide direction on every phase of development. We take our work very seriously and know the
success of every project is a direct reflection on us. For that reason, only proven contractors
meeting our high standards will be recommended to our customers. We are members
of the Tampa Bay Builders Association, the Women Builders Association, and are
ranked on Dun & Bradstreet.
Additionally,
we realized there were other services we could provide for our customers. When properties are completed, we market to
end buyers or investors looking for rental properties. We provide financing options for their
convenience and included in the mix are insurance companies, realtors, and
title companies. New Heights
Properties of Tampa, Inc. branched out again, and New Heights Financial, Inc.
was born. Our focus has always been to
provide a “turn key” solution from start to finish Offering financing solutions gives our customers one less thing
to worry about.
Since the
best indicator of the future is the past, we look forward to continued growth.
New Heights Properties of Tampa, Inc. will be moving into its own commercial
space by December of 2006. We are
poised and ready, and we welcome you to be part of our future success!
About Brenda Ayala
Brenda Ayala was born in Puerto Rico and considers herself
to be a native of Florida. She was a
Navy “brat” and was taught throughout her life to get a great education, find a
good company, stay there for 30 years, and live on your retirement. Brenda was doing exactly as her parents
suggested when she found herself in the telecommunications industry. Brenda was a natural salesperson, and it
took her no time to make her family proud.
With success came a lot of financial opportunity, but like many of us,
she thought there was no end to the pot of gold. By the time Brenda’s career was in full swing, the market started
changing. Companies were not offering
“pension plans”, her 401K was effectively declaring bankruptcy on its own, and
for the first time Brenda realized that there really was no more security in
the corporate sector. After 15 years in
the telecommunications industry, Brenda starting facing the very real
possibility that she would have to make a career change, but even more
importantly, a LIFE change. Never
ending reductions in personnel and transfers led her to the conclusion it was
time to try something else. The telecommunications
industry had prepared her well for what lay ahead, and she was up for the
challenge, but she wasn’t prepared for the bankruptcy, foreclosure, or debt
collectors she was facing as a result of a very tight telcom market. Jobs were impossible to find and sadly she
declared bankruptcy. She was down, but
hardly out, so she did what all persistent people do, she picked herself up,
dusted herself off, and came out of the gate swinging. After all of the humiliation was over,
Brenda decided to break with tradition and
"try something new", that being ADVERTISING. Brenda’s extensive background in sales
management and marketing, made it quite easy to adapt to her new role. But it was not fulfilling. One thing that became clear during the
bankruptcy was that working for other people would not get her to the place she
needed and WANTED to be financially.
She also knew financial freedom would not come without risk so she
started planning. She prayed a lot and
cried a lot because she was like everyone else, afraid of the unknown. In July of 2004, she made her escape. She officially retired from CORPORATE
AMERICA and never looked back. She knew
if she put herself in a position to be successful SHE WOULD BE. She talked to anyone who would listen to learn
as much as she could about the real estate investment industry. To this day if those people see her coming
they run for their lives. She had a
hunger for this business like nothing else she has ever done in her life and
can’t imagine DOING anything else.
The name "New Heights", and its logo, came to Brenda as she was getting ready to make her move. That's when she KNEW God was ready for her to leave her comfort zone. She wasn't ready to leave, but HE was ready for her to leave. She left reluctantly, not knowing the future. Now as Brenda looks back she realizes it was by far the best risk she has ever taken and would strongly encourage anyone in the same place to trust your instincts, and DO IT. The little voice in you is RIGHT!!
